Me

Hi, I’m Shailja Shaktawat.

I’m a Computer Science undergraduate at PES University interested in systems programming, cloud infrastructure, databases, security, and cryptography.

Currently, I’m a Google Summer of Code 2026 contributor at CRIU, where I’m building a forensic checkpointing framework for Kubernetes. I’m also exploring efficient vector search algorithms on SSDs as part of my ongoing research interests.

I enjoy understanding how things work beneath the abstraction layer, whether that’s reverse engineering fingerprint scanners, building database engines from scratch, orchestrating distributed infrastructure, or reading about cryptographic protocols.

Outside of computers, I spend time reading about mathematics and ancient Indian history, travelling whenever I get the chance, and documenting projects, experiments, and occasional rabbit holes on this website.

This site is a collection of things I’ve built, broken, reverse engineered, researched, and learned along the way.
